Hi there, my name is Lizzie Fuller. I am a first-year in the Athletic Training program here at the University of New England. I chose UNE for the Athletic Training program, the beautiful campus, and the opportunities this school provides. Along with taking courses in the Athletic Training program and I taking some classes related to teaching. I love working with children and could possibly see myself working as a teacher or coach in the future. I enjoy playing softball and volleyball, as well as going to the beach and spending time with my roommates, friends, and family. This English Composition course has taught me a lot about the recursive writing process. I have learned how to have a more open mind when writing a first draft and understand that I shouldn’t become attached to my first draft because most of it will end up being revised. I have learned how to make global revisions and how to think bigger when revising my papers. I have also learned the importance of peer editing. It is important to get feedback from others even when you might feel uncomfortable doing so. Students learn the most valuable information and gain important tools when put into uncomfortable situations.
