I think this ePortfolio has the potential to be very cool and helpful students. You can post things for others to see and essentially blog about things.  It’s basically making your own website. I think that setting this up is very difficult and there could have been a set class time to go over how to do everything. The office hours for Digispace are helpful, but it would’ve been more helpful if they had hours during the afternoon to get help.

I think that the ePortfolio makes it more possible to share your work with others compared to pen and paper. Pretty much anymore can read and see your work if they know how to find your page and if you have it set up for the public to see. With pen and paper you actually have to send your work to other people or have them see it in person. The ePortfolio takes out the face-to-face part of sharing your work which is more modern.

The only other digital technology I’ve had experience with is Google Docs. I love Google Docs because it’s so easy to share your work with people and have them comment or edit things for you. You can also do group projects at the same time and you don’t have to be in the same room to do it. Google Docs is more assignment oriented, while this ePortfolio seems more like a website/blog space. You can customize it to your liking, which on Google Docs you do not have so much freedom to do so.
